MISSION STATEMENT

The African Legacy Awards is a subsidiary of the African Global Alliance, a California based Corporation. It is supported by Africans in Diaspora and other associations that work to promote unity and development of Africa and her people worldwide through cultural, social,  economic and empowerment programs. 

The African Legacy Awards is an annual event to bring together Africans and friends of Africa to honor great men and women who have contributed to the growth and development of the African continent through humanitarian and philanthropic efforts, capital investments, and developments. The award also honors individuals who have shown excellence in their field of work and are a source of inspiration and pride to African people. The honorees will be inducted into the African Legacy Hall of Fame event..

The Award is not limited to Africans, recipients also include friends of Africa who have contributed to the progress and growth of Africa and her people worldwide. The award committee considers nominees from past, current, and future African trailblazers. 

The vision of the African Legacy Awards event is to create an international platform to bring together Africans and friends of Africa worldwide to celebrate the accomplishments of our great men and women who have left a positive legacy to inspire us. We aim to be a dynamic catalyst to promote continued participation in the development of Africa.
